Launch of Kaspersky Vulnerability Management
Kaspersky has launched a new solution — Kaspersky Vulnerability Management (Kaspersky VM), designed for centralized vulnerability discovery and management, as well as regulatory compliance monitoring.
Kaspersky VM identifies weaknesses across an organization’s IT infrastructure, prioritizes them based on actual risk, and uses a comprehensive approach to help remediate vulnerabilities before they result in security incidents. The solution is suitable for organizations across all industries with at least 10 devices in their IT infrastructure.
Cybercriminals are actively using AI to discover new vulnerabilities. As a result, the number of vulnerabilities continues to grow, while the time between their discovery and exploitation is becoming shorter. Security teams do not always have a clear understanding of which vulnerabilities should be addressed first, while lengthy patching cycles increase the risk of cyberattacks. Kaspersky Vulnerability Management helps address these challenges by not only identifying vulnerabilities but also recommending which ones should be remediated as a priority.
- Never leave vulnerabilities for later. Kaspersky VM continuously scans an organization’s IT assets, identifying forgotten or previously unknown devices and checking current configurations against security standards and regulatory requirements. The solution detects and prioritizes vulnerabilities based on threat trends and the frequency with which similar weaknesses are exploited in a particular industry. This enables security teams to immediately identify vulnerabilities that require urgent attention.
- A comprehensive approach. Kaspersky VM is integrated with Kaspersky Security Center for managing IT systems and security solutions and includes a vulnerability remediation module. In addition, the solution can automatically transfer information about identified threats to Kaspersky SIEM, while an open API enables this information to be shared with other products and solutions.
- Agent-based and network scanning. Other key capabilities include network scanning of ports and services, as well as agent-based scanning using existing Kaspersky agents deployed on workstations and servers. This eliminates the need to install additional software or provide service account credentials. The solution supports both black-box and white-box scanning, enabling organizations to identify vulnerabilities both when comprehensive information about the IT infrastructure is available and when direct access to internal systems is not possible.
- Expertise in vulnerability discovery. Kaspersky VM generates reports on identified vulnerabilities enriched with Kaspersky’s cybersecurity expertise. The company’s knowledge base includes more than 370,000 identified vulnerabilities and over 600 rules for assessing IT assets against industry standards and internal corporate security policies.
Product licenses are available on a one-, two-, or three-year subscription basis and are licensed according to the number of nodes in the customer’s infrastructure. Customers can choose between two technical support options: Premium and Premium Plus, with a response time of less than one hour. To get started, customers simply need to purchase a license and deploy the software within their infrastructure.
